Why

The Robotow moves an airplane by turning the nose tire. A knurled drive drum presses against the tire, and an adapter holds the unit to the nose gear. The Cirrus SR20, SR22 and SR22T fly with a fairing around the nose wheel, so the drum cannot reach the tire. No Robotow adapter is made for their nose gear either.

The Cirrus Vision Jet SF50 is a different answer. It fits with the Pro frame, confirm with us, using the Cirrus Vision SF50 adapter.

What to do instead

Keep moving your SR with the tow bar made for it. If you shop for a powered tow bar or tug from anyone, ask how it gets past the nose wheel fairing, and send the maker photos before you order.

No. Even with the fairing off, there is no Robotow adapter for the SR20, SR22 or SR22T nose gear today. The drum needs an adapter to hold it to the nose gear, and none is made for these airplanes.
