Fits. The Robotow 2.0 fits the Cessna 150, 172, fixed-gear 182 and 206 with the Cessna 1 adapter (6203), on the standard frame. The folding Pro frame fits them too. The nose wheel pant has to come off, because the drum drives the nose tire. The 182RG takes a different adapter. Cessna 152, 175, 177 and 205 or 207: confirm with us.

Sold by Aircraft Dynamics, Lima, Ohio. One family since 1962. One-year limited warranty. Returns.

How it works

Three steps at the nose wheel

  1. Hook up.

The Cessna 1 Adapter (part 6203) fits into the Robotow forks and connects to your nose gear.

  2. Squeeze and lean.

Pull the trigger slowly while you keep firm down pressure on the nose wheel. The drum grips the tire, and the airplane moves at a walking pace.

  3. Steer.

Turn the handle and the nose wheel turns with it. Follow your airplane's limits for nose gear steering.

In the box

What comes in the kit

  • The Robotow 2.0 unit with its high-torque, brushless 18 volt motor.
  • A Milwaukee M18 battery and the charger.
  • The Cessna 1 Adapter, part 6203.
  • The instructions, and the Allen wrench for the adapter connections.

Already have a manual tow bar?

Keep it. The Robotow does the pushing for the ground work you do alone, and you steer at the nose wheel; your manual bar still works for anything the Robotow is not built for.

More airplanes we fit

What it does, and where it stops. Robotow drives your nose tire with a knurled steel drum while you walk at the nose wheel and steer. On ice or packed snow the drum can slip or ice over. With a wheel pant on the nose wheel, it does not fit until the pant comes off. We don't publish a slope or weight limit: ramps, lips and airplanes vary too much for one number. Tell us yours and we'll tell you straight.
