Powered tow bar for the Cessna 210 and 182RG
The powered tow bar for your Cessna 210 or 182RG
Fits.
- Cessna 182RG Skylane RGCessna 210 Centurion: Cessna 5 Adapter 6255, standard or Pro frame.
Fits. The retractable-gear Cessna 210 Centurion and 182RG Skylane RG take the Cessna 5 adapter (6255), on the standard frame, and the folding Pro frame fits them too. It is a different adapter from the fixed-gear 182, so check your gear first. The 172RG Cutlass: confirm with us, and send two photos of the nose gear.

Build my kitHow it works
Three steps at the nose wheel
-
Hook up.
The Cessna 5 Adapter (part 6255) fits into the Robotow forks and connects to your nose gear.
-
Squeeze and lean.
Pull the trigger slowly while you keep firm down pressure on the nose wheel. The drum grips the tire, and the airplane moves at a walking pace.
-
Steer.
Turn the handle and the nose wheel turns with it. Follow your airplane's limits for nose gear steering.

What comes in the kit
- The Robotow 2.0 unit with its high-torque, brushless 18 volt motor.
- A Milwaukee M18 battery and the charger.
- The Cessna 5 Adapter, part 6255.
- The instructions, and the Allen wrench for the adapter connections.
Already have a manual tow bar?
Keep it. The Robotow does the pushing for the ground work you do alone, and you steer at the nose wheel; your manual bar still works for anything the Robotow is not built for.
The fit list
The Cessna 210 and 182RG family, airplane by airplane
| Airplane | Answer | Adapter | Frame | Kit from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cessna 182RG Skylane RG | Fits | Cessna 5 Adapter 6255 | Standard or Pro | $2,869 |

Not on the list? That is not a no. Send two photos of your nose gear and we will tell you straight. See every airplane we have checked.
More airplanes we fit
What it does, and where it stops. Robotow drives your nose tire with a knurled steel drum while you walk at the nose wheel and steer. On ice or packed snow the drum can slip or ice over. With a wheel pant on the nose wheel, it does not fit until the pant comes off. We don't publish a slope or weight limit: ramps, lips and airplanes vary too much for one number. Tell us yours and we'll tell you straight.
