One unit for a whole line of airplanes

For FBOs, flight schools and flying clubs, one Robotow 2.0 can move a mixed line of airplanes: the airplane picks the adapter, and the Robotow stays the same. A line of 172s needs one adapter. Short-frame airplanes, such as the Mooney, take their own frame. Tell us what you move, and we'll send a fit answer for every type, the adapters it takes, and a written quote.

What it has moved

  • A Beechcraft Baron at full fuel, up a twisting grade of about 5 percent, on a 94 degree day. Standard 2.0 frame. Marble Falls, Texas, April 2026.
  • A Cessna 310RG over a hangar lip, on the Pro frame. Lima, Ohio, August 2026.
  • A Cessna 172N, about 2,000 feet on one 5Ah battery, flat taxiway, one test. Roanoke, Texas, May 2026.

Which adapter does each airplane take?

The airplane picks the adapter. One adapter covers a family of nose gears, so a line of 172s needs one, and a ramp with several families needs one for each. These families all run on the standard frame.

Which adapter does each airplane take?
AdapterAirplanes it fits
Cessna 1 6203 Cessna 150, 172, 182 fixed gear, 206 and 310
Cessna 5 6255 Cessna 182RG and 210
Beech 1 6201 Bonanza, Baron, Debonair, Duke, Travel Air and T-34 Mentor
Piper 1 6207 Apache, Aztec, Comanche, Twin Comanche and Navajo
Piper 2 6208 Cherokee, Colt, Tomahawk and Tri-Pacer

Confirm with us: the Cessna 152, and the Piper Warrior, Archer and Dakota. Does not fit: any airplane with a pant on the nose wheel while the pant is on, taildraggers, the Cirrus SR20, SR22 and SR22T, and the Piper Arrow, Seneca and Malibu.

See every airplane we have checked

What it does, and where it stops. Robotow drives your nose tire with a knurled steel drum while you walk at the nose wheel and steer. On ice or packed snow the drum can slip or ice over. With a wheel pant on the nose wheel, it does not fit until the pant comes off. We don't publish a slope or weight limit: ramps, lips and airplanes vary too much for one number. Tell us yours and we'll tell you straight.

Before you order

What we will tell you before you order.

A drum on a tire has limits, and we say so in the same words every time. If your ramp is steep, if the snow stays, or the nose pant never comes off, a walk-behind tug is probably your answer.
